Robin Turner is a part-time resident of Ocracoke, North Carolina, whose deep and enduring connection to the island began in early childhood. The daughter of 6th generation O’cocker Myrtle Casey Braxton, Turner has built strong ties to the island community over six decades. Her Grandfather, James Oliver Casey was one of the last lighthouse keepers.

Turner is committed to civic engagement; she actively volunteers with local non-profit organizations including OPS , The Village Thrift and OVFD, and is a member of the OCPA fundraising committee. She is a strong advocate for community well-being and believes a community pool would help promote mobility, strength, and water safety for islanders and visitors alike.

Turner spends the remainder of her time in Washington, North Carolina, where she raised two daughters. She is married to her husband, Bobby Turner, and is a proud grandmother of two.
